COURTNEY DIANE BARTON,
 In Loving Memory of Courtney Diane Barton,
Courtney, was this amazing young lady that loved life to the fullest.  She loved her family and her friends.  Courtney, went above and beyond for her family she was a high achiever.  Courtney loved school, from the first time she walked through the door she knew that was going to be her school.  Her teachers always loved her and was always so excited for parent teacher night.
She participated in Sports, Cheer leading, events and fund raising.
All the way through high school and college, she loved working and paying her own way.  She is survived by her family  Mother Donna Lockard, Sister Malinda Barton and Nephew Aydin Robles, and Niece Courtney Barton. She was a U.S. Army veteran, Class president, fire science major, peer adviser. 
Courtney, was a fire fighter for California Department of Forestry located in Yreka, Ca.  Fire protection, She said fighting fires was such a rush for her.  She was also a E.M.T. in Mt.Shasta, Ca.  Courtney worked as a C.N.A. Weed Fire Department,
She graduated the College of The Siskiyous in Weed, Ca.  with honors then went on to a four year college in Humboldt University, Ca.  2004.
MESA Honors, Full Scholarship from the FORD Foundation Roseburg, Oregon.
Phi-Theta-Kappa.
Courtney, will be forever loved, forever missed. 
She was traveling on California Hwy 299, when her vehicle was passing two other vehicles, she hit obstacles in her direction.  Her vehicle slid going out of control she went over the embankment landing her upside down in Whiskey town lake out side of Redding ca.  She had suffered mutable head injuries and drowned.
